About The Artwork

Etude was painted during my plein air in Priozersk. We walked for a long time through the forest to the shore of Lake Ladoga, and when we finally came, I was amazed by this mighty power of water. Despite the fact that this is a lake, there were real waves like in the sea, the sandy shore was flooded with sunlight, and a little further away were huge stones, which I depicted in the sketch.
