ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This painting was inspired by a recent trip to Cambodia, reflected in the greens which are inspired by the beautiful palm trees there. It was completed fairly quickly in one sitting, and I enjoyed 'merging' the colours into each other. Unusually, I had chosen the title before the painting, and so I attempted to reflect this, which can be seen only in the suggestion of a downward pointing arrow, partially obscured, in the centre of the painting in crimson. This represents the way in, and the way out.
