SILKE HOST She was born in Germany, is a trained decorator and lives with her family in Eckbolsheim (France) since 1998, where she also has her studio. Since school she has been dedicated to painting and creative design. At first, she was intensively occupied with pencil and charcoal pencil painting and drew nude motifs on paper as well as on canvas. Then Silke began to experiment with acrylic …. Since 2016 she mainly paints with acrylic large canvases and uses the various techniques of acrylic painting. She creates unusual works of art, three-dimensional on canvas. Silke offers decorative art paintings for interior design, aiming for different themes in the type of paintings to appeal to many people . In her female universe are portrait paintings, animal paintings and nude art paintings. Silke prefers to paint women. She is fascinated by how you can capture the magic of a woman on a canvas with acrylic paints. Appearance is not important to her. It doesn’t depend on the colour of the hair, the size of the breasts or a tight bottom. No, it’s more about the magical aura that surrounds every woman. It is the mixture of everything, garnished with femininity and sensuality. From time to time she completes her unique pieces with one or more hummingbirds. She is fascinated by this bird species, with its remarkable colors. He is the symbol of the sun and love. The hummingbird stands for joy of life, grace and harmony. It is a symbol for the beauty and fullness of life. And that it’s exactly what Silke associates with painting. Silke has several years of experience in courses on colour theory, light/shadow, composition, drawing, perspective and portrait painting, getting to know different materials, harmony in a picture…. Different techniques: Acrylic, watercolour, gouache, collage, visual arts… THE ARTIST WOULD LIKE TO SHARE HER KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE WITH OTHERS AND HAS THEREFORE BEEN OFFERING PAINTING COURSES FOR CHILDREN AND ADULTS IN HER STUDIO AT HOME.
