About The Artwork
The initial concept for this series was to create a literal depression, as a reference to the mental state of depression. Here I am exploring using a depression within a landscape. This sparse snowy landscape becomes eerie through the space/time wormhole. The "hole" is suspended with plastic filament from a 3D pen (see detail pic). I love the depth of color in the snow and sky, buried within the textural wax layers.
