About The Artwork
The beauty you see in me is a reflection of you. Rumi This dusk rose is painted with special dusk colors, which are incredibly magic. They do this magic themselves, you just watch and wait. When you paint it in watercolors, everything is beautiful - the process, roses, their shape, smell, aroma... Roses are my great passion! Especially tenderly I love roses that grow in the courtyard of my house in Ukraine, right in front of my windows. They are incredibly tall, slender, over 2 meters. The most beautiful time is the last days of flowering, when the petals begin to fall off. Fleeting beauty! This artwork won the HONORABLE MENTION AWARD in Art Show International Gallery’s 5th FLOWER art competition, December 2022. This artwork take part in virtual exhibition „Meta-senses“ in Meta-senses Gallery curated by Delnara El, May-August 2022. A full-time Ukrainian watercolor artist based in Braunschweig (Germany) since spring 2013. I was born and grew up in Poltava, Ukraine. I’ve dreamed to be a painter since my childhood and only after my 25th birthday I’ve started to paint. 6th November 2012 was the best day in my life – my first art class. Traveling and painting has been my big dream, which finally came true in 2013 when we moved from Poltava (Ukraine) to Braunschweig (Germany). I find inspiration in a beauty of nature, flowers and plants, in the beauty of the environment around – from ancient to modern architecture, cityscapes, minimalistic landscapes, and clouds, sunsets, endless sky. To know the materials better I have visited several factories of art materials producers - Hahnemühle (April 2018), Royal Talens (May 2018), Escoda (March 2019). Furthermore, I work and cooperate with world producers of art materials - Hahnemühle, Schmincke, Da Vinci, St. Cuthberts Mill, ShinHan, Royal Talens, Escoda, Rosa, Tombow. I am a member of German Watercolor Society since April 2018 and a member of International Watercolor Society in 2018/2019.
