This Is Very Scary Painting

I suffer from generalized anxiety disorder. Let me back track; my hospitalization for severe anxiety has resulted in me taking a medical leave of absence from Vassar College. For my leave, I cannot stay with family, they are not a safe place for me; I used nearly all my savings to rent my own room in a place very different from a college dorm. I feel disoriented, I feel uncertain, I feel frightened by the unknown. So many changes have occurred in my life in such a short amount of time; It seems I've barely had a moment to breathe. I'm virtually on my own, at 18, miles away from my “home” in Alabama, with no idea how I'm going to survive, and most importantly, feel...okay. And yet I've found a glimmer of hope within the pursuit of exploring my interest. What you're seeing is the result of supplies (from a college art class which I did not complete) put to work during a panic attack. It is-on paper-the pure embodiment of my pain and of my fear, which is very real and very scary.
