About The Artwork
This piece was painted outdoors in the woods in Sparkill, NY the summer of 2015. At the time I was attending a month long residency and I wanted to simply paint large and outdoors. So I did. It was a very physical process that allowed me to explore mark making techniques and color.

She received her BFA from The Columbus College of Art and Design (2005) and starts her MFA studies at The New York Studio School fall of 2019. Her work has been exhibited in the US and internationally at PAC Marseille in Marseille, France, el patio de mi casa in Harlem, New York (2018) and Woodstock Museum, NY (2016). In 2018 she collaborated with Du Good Unity on a charity poster design for the Women's March. Causer has lectured and leads workshops for The Art Students League and SUNY at New Paltz. She has attended residencies at Salem Art Works (2016), and was a recipient of the Ruth Katzman Scholarship from The Art Students League of New York (2015).
