Tidal Marks Painting

The distress and weathering that occurs to all things on the coast is never predictable. Driftwood and sea walls are beaten and shaped by the most complex movements that exist in nature, by wild storms and by rhythmic lapping of everyday tides; and while rendering unique sculptures of everything it touches, its work is never unfamiliar. I suspect deep down humans know the sea better than they think. This painting exists as x9 1ft square canvases that come together as one. The arrangement and order of the 9 canvases can be dictated by the space in which they are displayed and by the discretion of the viewer. Like sea water it will come in and settle where it will, but will always be seawater, and be of the sea.
