ABOUT THE ARTWORK
My paintings present the viewer with opportunities to awaken to the beauty of the human experience through ordinary passing moments. Whether quick and fleeting, or slow and contemplative, these passing moments have the power to snap us out of the trance of thought and present life as it is. Each image is both an act of devotion and a meditation. This particular piece captures my wife turning in a way while on a field trip to some tidepools, just north of Half Moon Bay. Her posture and movement were captured in a way that we often see but rarely notice.
