Time of Peace Painting

I represent the child in the arms of his older brother. The older boy represents the laws of the universe. The elderly man represents the ‘revolution’ of action of love and generosity that will occur through me when I’m older. As a child, every day I witnessed extreme poverty and genocide; yet these two children were destined to fly like the quetzal, the national bird of Guatemala. The quetzal is full of peace, tranquillity and security; it enjoys its mountain, the earth, the flowers, the rain that falls and all of its energy. The same destiny was the birthright of these children, despite appearances.
