Socrates suggests that their understanding of a true and justice painting would be clarified if they were to consider a concreat case, say the state : if by discussion they could come to understand what a state must be in order to be just , it might be possible to generalize and to arrive at an idea of justice itself. All paintings in order to be good must be just and true to the nature of the artist .
