Tra fisicità e trascendenza: Vivien Leigh Painting

The portrait is part of a series of works created as a tribute to the jury who listened to my final exposition to my high school exam. On the occasion of my examination I wanted to bring a thesis about the vision of the human body through the various arts of the 20th century: starting from the body of physicality to culminate in the body without a body - the conceptual transcendence (but not excluding other visions such as the body as an omen of death, the metamorphic body, the body as an object of eros, etc.) The result is a series of works that try to culminate these two visions of physicality (as given by the photorealistic physicality of the subject) and of transcendence (the disintegration of the image into informal painting).
