About Reconnect: Reconnect is an exhibition about people's relationship with the planet and how the hidden and intricate intelligence of nature underlies everything in our lives. Inspired by the micro/macro beauty to be found within nature systems and the links they have with the workings and health of the human body. Tilda has explored this theme through her playful and vibrant abstraction of the colours and patterns she's recorded in her nature research, both scientific and esoteric. She's intrigued by the abstract nature of the subtleties and sensitivities of life. When she creates work she likes to be intuitive, introspective and playful. Often she's inspired by the simple things, the way a tree reflects on water, the vibrancy of the Indian textiles in her home or the unself-consciousness of a child's drawing. She strives to create powerful atmosphere in her work by using vivid colour, pattern and simple shape. She finds purposeful expression when combining her passions for health, nature and poetry within her art and illustrative design. It's her desire to explore how people relate to the earth and how nature's hidden intelligence is at the core of everything we are.
