Part #1 of an intended new series 'integrated forms' in which tree forms are divined through abstract/expressionistic mark-making, combined with forms emerging from the psyche. 'Wounding the canvas' is a term I am at home with - scoring, picking, scratching, uncovering - driven by an archeological impulse, but also the urge to express high energy - a visceral impression of emotions.
