Recently a write_up about my art... @ Akshaya Kalayatra Uttar Women and Nature are probably Nature’s most creative narrations available to understand the creator’s creation and hence remain a great inspiration to artists who draw visual emphasis in their depictions about the mystery and ability of women and nature on their canvases. Aradhna Tandon is a visual artist based in Panchkula (Haryana). She paints everyday motifs like figures, elements from nature and houses to depict love, tenderness, introspection, melancholy and surrender in all human starkness. She believes that art is an expression of her feelings, emotions and thoughts as she grapples with the everydayness of life. Her sincere attempts are to see art in the mundane and that which lies in front of her in routine. The subjects of her paintings are mainly people, their desires, hopes, aspirations, inadequacies, loneliness and triumphs that find life and expression on her canvas. Aradhna Tandon’s paintings depict these subtle creative energies that demonstrate great strength, emotions and innocence on her canvas making it positive and hopeful. Her art presents the strength of women as the most authentic and prominent metaphor of Nature due to her ability to produce, nurture and contribute values which have remained the foremost thereby declaring the feminine energy as the essence of the universe, the one who creates all matter and consciousness, the eternal and infinite, the metaphysical and empirical reality, the soul of everything. Aradhna’s visual treatment is this celebration of women as the most powerful and the empowering force on her canvas with colours The artist makes sincere attempts to express her experience rather than enforce or impress an idea. Her art works appear like she is trying to give a voice to the woman inside her to express her unsaid expressions through her vibrant colours and lines thereby making the cheerful spirits alive. The artist attempts to depict the paradox of the spirit of women which is mild and tender yet powerful in content. Aradhna’s paintings demonstrate great courage which she brings through colours. She visually expresses her energetic sense of womanhood which is serene and optimistic thereby celebrating her experiences through vivid colours. This is the significant value addition Aradhna adds to her paintings which makes it a visual poetry.
