Triptych: Found Home Painting

The abstract series, Triptych: Found Home, explores the theme of finding one's roots and sense of belonging, even in the face of displacement and loss. In my works, I depict a burning house, which literally means the destruction brought by the war and metaphorically the destruction of the old, the loss of my home and the usual picture of the world. The image of a tree growing from stones symbolizes the resilience and strength shown by the Ukrainian people and their growth, despite all the difficulties. The traditional Ukrainian toy motanka, which is often made of fabric and depicts a woman with no clear features, symbolizes the importance of cultural heritage and the connection with one's roots. My art is about the celebration of freedom, diversity and self-expression. This is an ode to the resilience of the human spirit and the power of art to connect cultures and build bridges of mutual understanding.
