About The Artwork

In "Tryst in the Mist," Barbara Andrewjeski masterfully captures the essence of both nature and interpersonal connection. The canvas, awash in subdued shades of gray with a whisp of teal that evoke a forest landscape, reveals two pristine, almost glowing, white shapes. These forms, seemingly in quiet conversation, exude an aura of serene togetherness. Executed with precision, "Tryst in the Mist" features a finely finished canvas back that underscores the artist's commitment to quality. Safeguarding its longevity, the artwork is coated with a protective layer that defends against UV rays and environmental factors. For seamless presentation, the piece is equipped with professionally installed hanging hardware, ensuring effortless display in any setting. Barbara Andrewjeski's "Tryst in the Mist" pushes the boundaries of traditional art, beckoning viewers to explore the intricate interplay of imagination and reality. It stands as a testament to the artist's skill in evoking emotion and contemplation through the delicate balance of color, form, and symbolism.

I have lived many lives. I have been a florist, a welfare caseworker, a counselor, a truck driver, a greenhouse manager, and wedding officiant. As I waved goodbye to all of those incarnations, three lives remain: wife, mother and grandmother. Throughout my various careers, I have expressed my creativity in many forms and periods. I have been an accomplished seamstress, crocheter, leather craftsman, kanzashi artist, and now, finally, fluid artist. I would like to think that all of these experiences have molded and shaped me, honoring my ability to open my heart and share and express my innermost thoughts and emotions. In this current incarnation of me, I have found the freedom to explore the artist inside me. I have come to admire and respect the artistic process. In each of my artworks, I invest a piece of myself. I feel passionately when I am in the process of artistic creation. Along the way, I visit and revisit the works of accomplished artists in order to learn from them: their techniques, style and process. I have come to know a passionate artist named Olga Soby. What I love about her is her fearless freedom to fully express herself in her art, yet also to willingly share her techniques with grace and charm. I hope I live long enough to come close to her ability to tease such profound beauty -- out of my own media.
