Turquoise VI Painting

This unique painting is part of my Abstract Gem Stone Collection. I have been inspired by gemstones for many years especially semi-precious ones. Turquoise is one of my favourites as it provides me with a multitude of tones of blues and greens as well as the subtle faults which can be found in brown, greens and metallics. I study my gemstone collection for hours, take photos and make sketches and get a feel for the stone. The messy part is creating the textures and then I go to town on the colours. The over all effect is make up of many layers, in this artwork there is at least 20 layers of acrylic. Colours: Acrylic paints of cerulean blue, Turquoise blue, burnt umber and burnt sienna. Signed and dated: On the back. Certificate of Authenticity included. Finish: Edges painted black and surfaces covered in 3 layers of UV protect varnish matt finish. This artwork is ready to hang.
