About The Artwork
This work was made during my first evening in my new studio at Cuckoo Farm in Colchester. I went to leave midnight but discovered the steering wheel on my VW Polo was immovable. I wiggled it a bit ; bet ended up calling the AA for fear of breaking something. The AA arrived at around three in the morning. By which point I had made this painting ; Two Gold Birds. I hope this painting captures the excitement off moving into a new studio and also the frustration of being stuck somewhere for an indefinite period of time.
