About The Artwork

Number two of a series inspired by the Morgan Flats; acres of bean fields on both sides of the highway north of Maumelle, Arkansas. Sunsets and sunrises, both, from multiple locations around this area are top-shelf, quality events, equaled possibly, and only, by the same rise and fall, occurring over one of those oceans on Earth. The sun as yellow square holds special purpose in the expression, or rather, invocation, of joyful emotion, unattached to habitual, problematic expectation levied on people, places and things. Seeing the yellow square makes me smile without attachment or thought. Jessica and I found two trees in a park by the river who had grown together, so close, for so long, for so large, towering an easy fifty feet, as one, great tree, whose division as two could only be determined by the different leaves produced from branch to branch, half chinquapin oak, and the rest, my favorite, pecan. Truly inspiring when thought of in terms of the various Taoist meditation techniques developed for the dual cultivation of practitioners in cohabitation.
