Putin's criminal aggression against a sovereign neighbour that was guaranteed in 1994 at the Budapest Conference NOT TO BE attacked under any circumstance - a written agreement between NATO, Russia and Ukraine is a gross violation unacceptable in the 21st Century. Putin's attack on Ukraine in 2014 was an unacceptable event, that served as a precedent for Putin not to keep his promise and run over unconditionally a neighbor, a sovereign nation that is less than 1/10 the size of Russia, and gave up its nuclear capabilities based on the promises given and signed in that accord I mentioned above. Whatever the outcome of Putin's war on Ukraine may be, I created this artwork as a reminder a war of this nature is a threat not only to the theater where the action is happening, but a threat to the entire world and the civilisation as we know it. This is a grim example of a superpower willy nilly running over a neighbor and without any reason committing genocide... a grim reminder how Hitler attacked Poland and the Soviet Union starting World War II.

Since childhood I was fascinated with the visual language in all its forms. Visual art is mysterious, can be beautiful or frightening, leaving room for interpretation of the viewer. As we mature and experience life in depth, revisiting the same works of art may mean something totally different. As a child I grabbed anything that left a mark on a surface and kept drawing everything that captured my attention. I was frustrated that my drawings never looked exactly the way I saw them. Never gave up, and much later I learned that art is an interpretation of reality that has its own life, and in most cases outlives its author. The value of art generated by mankind is a priceless legacy for many generations to come and maybe the most enigmatic and complex information about ourselves...I think that is fascinating.
