Title: 'UTOPIA' Year: 2019 Details: Acrylic on gallery wrapped & hand stretched canvas; three layers of varnish; the edges on the left, painted in yellow and the edges on the right painted in blue (both colours matching the colours used in the painting) This body of work has been featured in the famous british and american Interior-Magazine 'HOUSE&GARDEN' in the May issue of 2019. April 2019 it has also been part of an exhibition of Linda Simansky at the Gallery Steiner in the prestigious 1st district of Vienna, Austria. This painting is one of the personal favourites from the artist. It's a typicall vivid, lifecelebrating, huge, high quality Simansky. It has many, sublime layers of paint on it. It's a painting, where the more you look at it, the more details you will find in the artwork. You will get lost in this unique piece of art. It's a stunning, vivid, strong eye-catcher. A piece of high quality art, that catches everyones attention when entering the room. Inspiration: The artist has started this body of work with the inspiration to critical display opposing symbols ( Day - Night, Light - Shadow, Birth - Death, Life - Death, Happines - Sadness, Joy - Grief, Love - Hate, Beginning - End, ...etc. ), which our lives and our culture is full of, by splitting the baselayers in two halfs and layering the left side only in different shades of yellow paint and the right side in different shades of blue only. Simansky then began to switch the sides and the two colours, leaving blue marks on the yellow side and yellow marks on the blue side... which symbolises the mix of emotions we deal with, on a daily basis and that there is never such thing like only sadness or only joy, or there's never light without shadow, etc.. The painting is called 'UTOPIA' as a reminder, as a hope, as a believe for the future, to end stereotyped thinking and that we should start accepting that there isn't such thing like 'only white' or 'only black'. There is no such thing like light without shadow. We have to accept and celebrate the variety of emotions, things, people, tastes, etc... The artist has worked with a large squeegee and big brushes to move the paint across the canvas. This artwork is an original painting from the artist Linda Simansky and is signed on the back and comes with a certificate of authenticity. Pls let me know if you would like to see more photos from different angles.

Austria
Linda Simansky, born 1995, lives and works in Unterpetersdorf, Austria, as a freelance artist. Linda Simansky is best known for her, often huge, vivid, very strong, expressionistic canvas works that are full of explosive energy. Linda Simansky's body of work focuses mainly on human emotions and tabooed themes like mental health, in a life celebrating way. She always finds inspiration for her works in observing the interpersonal behaviours of her sourroundings, as well as her own everyday life and her own history. She then often intertwines these parts of inspiration, with the inspirational parts that she draws from the nature that's surrounding her in her studio on the countryside, or the music she listens to whilst painting. Simansky mostly prefers the use of acrylic as her medium of choice, which she liberally applies with large squeegees and brushes. Notwithstanding that her career has just begun, she already had 3 exhibitions with the award-winning Viennese gallery 'Gallery Steiner' in the famous 1st district of Vienna, Austria. Linda Simansky's works have also been featured in the May, June & July Issues 2019 of the famous british Interiormagazine 'House&Garden'. Simansky and her artworks had several appearances in Newspapers and she also talked on 2 Radiointerviews. Linda Simansky's works can be found in collections worldwide.
