ABOUT THE ARTWORK
I'm inspired by the effect the natural elements have on various materials over time. the colors and textures that emerge as the sun, salt, rain and wind erode metal, fiber and wood are what I try to recreate. I apply oil and latex paints over several layers of newspaper, cardboard, wood and metal, sanding and grinding between layers to reveal the underlying textures and colors. Hanging hardware is included.
