We are under constant fire from various shells and missiles. The end of this genocidal, cannibalistic war of Russia in Ukraine is not yet in sight. But every day we think with hope and support our Ukrainian armed forces. Everyone helps the troops to bring closer our victory over darkness, obscurantism, and barbaric stupidity. I create a new series of watercolor paintings “Ukrainian Renaissance” with thoughts about a new stage in the development of our state and people. We must rethink the past, take new, better achievements of all mankind and build a stronger, independent state. We still have a lot to learn, rebuild and develop. In the painting “Ukrainian glory” I used Ukrainian national symbols: periwinkle flowers, storks, viburnum, stylized ornaments. The girl's head is depicted in the form of a marble statue. Sculpture in the classical style is perceived by us as ancient history and evokes respect and inspiration. The ornaments are stylized as decorations on ribbons, which were traditionally woven into girls' hair. The image of Ukraine is conveyed through the modest and peaceful pose of a girl, thinking and meaningful. I was inspired for this art work by my favorite styles in fine art - Renaissance, Art Nouveau, Modern. In this painting I used a restrained color scheme to convey the spirit of the times. I tried to create a pictorial collage that would draw a parallel between our past and future. The female image is the most important for me in painting. For many centuries, a woman has been deprived of the right to manifest her individuality, feelings, experiences. The time of her youth will pass, beauty will fade, memories will remain in business. It is difficult for a woman in this world, I pass this image through myself. I want to leave the female image, for many years, as vulnerable, sensual, unknown as nature.

Hello ! I am an artist from Ukraine. I draw and painting from early childhood. Creativity - my whole life. In my work, I am inspired by the world around me: nature, the female image, the architecture of cities, the sea. I like to express my understanding of the world and what is happening through symbolism in paintings. In my paintings I often use stylization, ornaments, collages of figures, flowers, architecture. The female image is the most important for me in painting. In my work, I am inspired by the surrounding world: nature, the female image, the architecture of cities, the sea. I like to express my feelings and understanding through symbolism in the paintings. I love watercolor for its elusiveness, danger, unpredictability. I find these traits in the female image as well. Watercolors are delicate, unpredictable, you never know how the paint will lay on paper, how the colors will flow and mix. I love to create series of paintings that inspire me: woman, flowers, Renaissance, Impressionism, Art Nouveau. Watercolor is my whole life! It is light, airy, momentary - as the paint lay down, so it will be. Therefore, when you create a picture, you don’t fully know how it will end up. I often draw tender, vulnerable female images, as I myself have been subjected to sexism, humiliation, pressure due to the fact that I am a woman. I myself fought for my freedom of expression, I am proud that I am an artist. With my painting, I inspire people to search for beauty around us. I take part in art exhibitions. I never expect inspiration in my life! It is always with me. My motto is beauty, light, harmony in every work! I have been painting since birth. I studied for many years and still do not stop improving in painting. I always said that I would create under the bombs. And now this time has come. And yes, I continue to work. Only now I'm sitting with a brush, and inside I'm squeezing from anger, pain, resentment. Many of us fight in different ways: someone with a gun, someone with a word, someone with creativity. I loved symbolism and now I am trying to convey the bright image of Ukraine with gray, dark colors. https://www.facebook.com/olga.larina.art https://www.instagram.com/larinamagicart
