About The Artwork

The work "Unbearable Joy of Being" is an artistic documentation of the capitalist happiness that the deceived Soviet society hoped for, and which has turned into a capitalist ghetto today. The contrast between the hope for a bright and comfortable future and the current coldness of the social climate is shown through the unification of the capital construction object and the text.

Milada's work explores universal themes, reflecting the societal and cultural challenges of contemporary life giving an apocalyptic aftertaste. Her figurative painting serves as a commentary on the loss of global mythologies and answers existential questions of the human experience. Her art is deeply personal yet resonates with a broader audience, particularly those who came of age in the post-Soviet era.
