Materials: oil, linen canvas, extruded polystyrene. Size: 50x50x4cm A spreading tree hung over a stormy mountain river, as if protecting and always tending to it. Or perhaps, it bent over just for a moment to look at its reflection in the mirrored river surface, but gazed for so long, admiring itself, that could no longer straighten back up. To increase visually an effect of the tree leaning over the river, I made two levels of surface (2 and 4 cm). And also added extra volume to the rocks in the foreground for greater perspective depth. The frame is hand-cut from ultra-lightweight thermal insulation material, extruded polystyrene, (allowing the painting to be hung on less sturdy walls) and covered with primed linen fabric. On the reverse side, there is a simple metal wire for hanging on a wall. Additionally, this painting would also look quite appealing in a so-called floating frame, custom-made to fit the painting's shape. PS. If you liked this style but wish for something slightly different, perhaps another form or narrative, I would also be delighted to create something similar according to your request, tailored to your individual preferences.
