About The Artwork
This is personal rendition of ‘Under the Coco Palm’ by 20th century American painter, Winslow Homer. Originally a watercolor drawing on paper, this was gifted to a friend, and subsequently sold to the Fogg Museum at Harvard University where it now resides. The original drawing is 14 x 21 in. and gives a calming tropical landscape, with a young black boy in linen drinking from the fruits of the coco palm.
