About The Artwork
A zen moment. Traveling through the network of tunnels on the London Underground system late at night, early in the morning. I'm in a perfectly curved tube with gleaming steel and an autowalk. The painting is one of my early experiments with how to express an experience of something. Spray paint creates the underpainting, and varnish creates a glossy surface and sense of depth. On high density fiber board. This artwork is unframed.

Lewis has exhibited at galleries internationally, including Edinburgh, London, Oslo, and New York. She now lives in the shady woods of the Appalachians and her studio looks out over the mountains.
