About The Artwork
Undines 100x 150 cm, mixed technique on canvas, 2016 From collection and solo exhibition SLEEPLESSNESS. It happened at the seaside: Undines were swimming in darkness. Undines are mythological figures of European tradition. They are doomed for tragic fait because of distrustful men they fall in love with. It is brilliant metaphor for almost everything we deal with in this life. We come here pure, naive and playful, but over time become much more rough and fierce. ---- This artwork is a painted on self prepared high quality linen, stretched on custom wooden frame before priming and painting. Not recommended to remove artwork from the frame. Artwork is sold unframed. The surface has reliefs and textures protected with special varnishes. Different light sources can give different effect. Signed and dated on back. Artwork will be securely packaged for shipping. A tracking number will be provided.

These surroundings serve as a source of inspiration, allowing me to discover my truth and craft new worlds and meanings. Verina-Lubina is a multifaceted artist who graduated from the Janis Rozentals Riga Art School and earned a Master's degree in Latvian Academy of Art, specializing in Visual Communication in 2013. She primarily works with painting and video art, exhibiting her works extensively in her home country. In 2016, she was nominated for the Art Academy of Latvia Award. Verina-Lubina's artworks can be found in private collections worldwide, including the USA, UK, Switzerland, Finland, Belgium, and Latvia.
