Art Description

Painting: Acrylic, Oil, Tempera on Iron.

Franco De Angelis's work travels on a subtle line where memories, dancing images of time-consuming events, glittering hallucinations and frozen reflections on the dance are danced on it. Like life, its imaginary world is composed of layers of sedimented paint that let it transpire and sometimes hide shapes of shapes and figures, where the sum of two or more images creates a completely new image and give rise to no places where time It stops and the figures become projections of themselves. De Angelis's works are immersed in a complex game of mirrors between life and death, not just as a biological event, but also as a metaphor for a birth and death on the two-dimensional surface. Thoughts, well-designed dramas, almost as if they were places of a crime where the user is the missing clue of an endless enigma. The result is incomplete surfaces in which the images stand motionless in a compositional silence where, only apparently, the not sense seems to have had the best. The pictorial quest becomes an existential necessity that urges the urgency of telling a void; Is a add, insert to tell and reveal an absence and a lack. In these pictorial spaces paradox and intuition act like an infinite Arianna wire that will never report the user at the exit of the labyrinth. The result is a complete dissimulation of time and space; There are moans and echoes of crystallized events that reverberate in the colors and dissolved shapes.
