Paintings under the common name "Disappearance" belong to a series of works in which I deal with the not at all harmless influence of a man on the development of his own species. One of the most dangerous consequences of today's bustle and the fear it produces, is the inability of modern people to be alone with themselves, even for a short time. They timidly avoid any possibility of a self-awareness and plunging into themselves, as if they are afraid that self-awareness could confront them with a horrible self- portrait.
