About The Artwork
This artwork is a very small fragment of one of my artworks still in progress, titled "1000 African Heads of Gratitude". The artwork will be a collection of different heads painted on separate canvases but mounted together as one painting. This was inspired by my recent interest in Ancient african artifacts.

Collins Gandor was born in Sogakofe, a town in the Volta region, Ghana. He was raised in Ivory Coast and came back to Ghana when he was 18 years old. Collins has always been an Art enthusias since he was born. His practice explores the similarities between things in his surroundings, human related experiences, body identity, memory through means of painting.Subjects within his paintings are depicted in neutral neutral colours with a fusion of techniques such as serigraphy, pochoir and short dash strokes that dictates the flat edge of his brush.
