About The Artwork
I like working with encaustic which is composed of beeswax, Damar resin, and dry pigment. Some of the paint is homemade, and some is purchased. I like dark, moody paintings, and I was thinking of Albert Pinkam Ryder's work when I was painting this work. I layer the paint and scrape off some paint after each layer.
