About The Artwork
There is a point in life where you have to take damaged pieces of self and trust your heart, gut, intuition, whatever you'd like to call it and create a new store on the remnants of the old. This is how this piece came about. It is imperfect like all of us and was born on a base of arrived damaged original black and white photography face mounted to the plexiglass. A part of large order from a client, damaged and unfit according to purchase standards. It stood in my studio for a year giving me an eyeful. I finally let go and gave it a new life. It isn't about thought, or about standards it's about playing cards you have been dealt in my outmost best. Expressed are emotions of my very unlikely and different life from yours. Angst and peace and hope and reward and love for self. Love yourself. Acrylic painting atop of ready but damaged on edges piece. Beautiful but imperfect just like we are. Beautiful in its imperfection.
