About The Artwork
Inspired by the historical windows of inner Melbourne this work is built on a wooden panel - the sill and window frame are built onto the wooden panel and painted. For a longtime I have been painting urban landscapes and this work evolved from the idea of shadows being created by the work itself rather than painting the shadows. When directional light falls on the work the shadow is created.
