Ventotene Painting

I never felt the need to exactly define my art in terms of style because it speaks for itself. Anyway I will say that today it appears as a kind of Postcognitive Neoexpressionism. The expressionist nature of my painting seems clearly evident. On the other hand the creative process, with spontaneous and semi-automatic gestures, almost like in a sort of “action painting”, is the basis of the definition "postcognitive," as the full consciousness of what I have expressed is generally reached only at the completion of the work. Too many words just to say that painting for me is a personal surprise and, as Charles Mingus says, a "dangerous necessity."
