About The Artwork
The Venus de Milo (Aphroditi tis Milou) is an ancient Greek statue and one of the most famous works of ancient Greek sculpture. Created sometime between 130 and 100 BC, the statue is believed to depict Aphrodite, the Greek goddess of love and beauty. It is a marble sculpture, slightly larger than life size at 203 cm (6 ft 8 in) high. I painted the background of the picture in abstract style, I used acrylic antique copper paint. I made a texture on canvas with a structural paste, highlighting the folds of the dress, the antique surface of the sculpture's body. The picture has a hanger. It's sides are painted. I enclose the certificate of authenticity.
