The visual landscape of VIBRATIONS series is shaped by the sound, or it's factual absence. Read more about the process: Somewhere in the middle of the zone. Hyperfocused. Painting. Full attention is on the works. Solely. Everything else is blurred. Literally. Lost the track of time long ago. Listening to Jan Jelinek's Loop-Finding-Jazz-Records album. I think I'm listening to it on the loop, in fact. It's playing quite loud but somehow the songs are making it only to the background of my mind. I'm testing the process of painting with different materials, yet again. The sound of them when they meet the paper. The rough encounter. Paint mixing, water splashing here and there. The palette knife scratches the surface. Footsteps. Quiet. A moment to step back. The sounds of the process itself are so much quieter than the music, yet somewhere in the zone, they became as loud as an orchestra's live performance. The vibrations of sound created in motion through the movement of the tools. The motion then gets a static visual form in painting. Taking the advantage of hypersensitiveness to sensory input? It's a definite maybe. Because nothing is really definite, is it.

She has completed art residency programs in Lisbon and Berlin, and after spending several years living in Portugal, she now lives and works between Prague and Berlin.
