About The Artwork
I like to paint on Hahnemulhe bamboo paper, the colours seem more vibrant than other watercolour paper. I used Daniel Smith watercolour for the violet petals, the colour is just so vibrant. Gardening is one of my passions and violas are one of my favourite flowers because of their gorgeous colours. The painting is not framed or mounted.

I am a painter based in Bath UK having moved from London 12 years ago. My main subject is the natural world. I work in oil on wood and multi media on paper. The oil paintings are more still and atmospheric owing to the nature of the material, whereas the watercolur paintings are more spontaneous. I like to just see what happens when I make marks with the watercolour, it is hard to control so the results are hard to predict.
