I love to dance while creating these large abstracts, bringing natural movement and energy into the piece. While two dimensional they almost dance off the page adding energy, light and color to the space. They are to encourage movement through natural textures. My process relies heavily on the texture of the page, think application of watercolor and the nature of water, pushing the boundaries of natural textures and bold marks traditionally achieved through watercolor. Much like on my hikes through the woods, they are rock scrambles, waterfalls, sun rays through the trees and trickling streams.. to celebrating our world and our bodies.
