“Waiting” is a 3-module triptych for a total size of 3 meters by 1.20 meters, painted in acrylic on canvas with a gold background that recalls the fourteenth-century triptychs. It will be packed in a cardboard box with the three overlapping canvases, and not in a wooden box. Why do people look upwards in an evident state of anxiety, while one of them turns his gaze behind him to meet an eye that is looking at us? And why among the group is there a man vaguely resembling Dante Alighieri, also with his eyes turned upward, but with the awareness of what is to come? If something is about to happen ... Here, we can ask ourselves questions of this type, or of a completely different nature, that is, of a simple physical fact that is happening, or about to happen. I will certainly not be the one to reveal the "right" answer to these questions, also because I do not have a "right" answer. Of course, I have given myself a goal, an interpretation, but it is a completely personal interpretation and it does not necessarily correspond to yours, because it is certain that each of us will see something different in it that can go from metaphysical to more abstract abstraction. fantasy, a real drama, a happy event, or a less happy event, a liberation from a collective drama, an opening towards a form of transcendental belief, rather than a vision of our existence in relation to what surrounds us? Or maybe the answer is a mix of those who believe and those who are atheists?

Born in Italy in Marche region, after many year of life in Milano. I attended the art high school and the Book art school in Urbino, with a cartoon focus. I worked in the Bozzetto studio as an animator, artistic director and director. I participated, as a character creator, in the film “Allegro Non Troppo”. I have collaborated on some Enzo D’Alò films in Lanterna Magica. Later I had my own production company. (Motusfilm) I have been an illustrator and author of children's books and the author of several animated short films awarded at various national and international festivals. I currently riturn to live in the Marche region .Here I work on portraits, and I paint personal interpretations of the human figure and portrait, two and three dimensional, with mixed techniques ranging from clay, digital, acrylic, photocopy, papier-mâché. Why the portraits? Because I'm curious about human nature. In the last exhibition I exhibited more than 50 plates of portraits of contemporary artists, where I not only show the face of the artist, but also his art that mixes and intertwines with my work, that is, I adapt to his style, and his style is adapted to my composition, sometimes even leaving out the verisimilitude, to give more space to what I perceive of that artist. From an early age I enjoyed drawing and coloring, and this propensity has never abandoned me, on the contrary it has been further increased by the artistic direction of the various schools I attended. In my works there is everything that I absorbed in the place of my childhood, that is: the masks, the carnival, the allegorical float, which were and still are a moment of happiness and joy and, especially my thirty-year profession as a cartoonist.
