About The Artwork
I love the downtown of Vail Village, that reminisces an alpine town. Here I wanted to show the end of a ski day, when people dress up to go shopping and getting ready to go for dinner. You can see the characteristic clock tower, the traditional shop of Gorsuch and Peppy's diner while people walk by. I've used La Carte Pastel from Sennelier as paper, as it's sandy texture is excellent for pastels. Then I've used Sennelier, Unison Colour and Rembrandt's pastels plus Caran d'Ache and Fiber Castels pastel pencils. I always use a bit of charcoal in bits.

I am a new artist, pretty much self-taught, with some formal learning at the Blackheath Conservatoire with Simone Willems, now taking another course at the Conservatoire to use as studio time. I've fallen in love with pastels and charcoal, as I find them easy materials to express in paintings. I love the mountains, and want to reflect them in my drawings.
