About The Artwork
I was given a photograph of a head-on shot of this stagecoach ride from an art admirer who happened to visit Warner Springs, CA. He and his wife encouraged me to paint the photo depicting the old wild west days. I hope the painting draws the viewer in and that they can feel the rumble and sense the excitement of this wild ride. I chose pastel because I wanted to create a dusty scene with the hooves churning up the dirt and stones. The material used is pastel bord.
