About The Artwork

Each piece of work represents an update of our history, of our experience. All experiences accumulate with time create our personality, an Update in our life. Water Lilies series pays tribute to Claude Monet in Giverny and is an Update of the series “Farewell to the Landscape”. The landscape is now deconstructed and close to abstraction. And more as a flower, Water Lilies participate in the ecosystem. In this painting, The leaves of trees lie on the pond like fish. Nature is becoming a pointillist landscape. The viewer can connect to nature and may meditate while the leaves are falling. Acrylic on canvas. The sides are also painted with bronze powder. Varnished matt, including UV protection. Ready to hang.

Marjorie was born in France. After graduating from Ecole du Louvre in Paris where she received a classical education in History of art and the inspiration for her future work, she worked in the museum section. From self-taught artistic training she exhibited her silver process photographs on the theme of reflection of nature in water according to the size of the aperture, effect of light and wind. She picked up the brushes once again in 2013 for her project:" the Nympheas and Japanese Screens" and exhibited in Germany where she lives and works. "I don't paint what is visible, I recompose an image according to what reality makes me feel. I dig up a memory or a photo, and I work with several layers of glazes of pure pigments blended with a combination of mediums. As the image is rebuilt, the lines are transformed into symbols and leave only an impression. My painting represents an instant of my present life connected to the past."
