Water Tongues Painting

A woman filled with happiness, which creates and heals using color, voice, movement and words. For the last 28 years, she has lived in Atlit, between enchanting people and the sounds of the sea. The proximity to nature in this magical place influences my paintings. I love to experiment with color in my paintings, and use mainly torn newspaper cuttings and oil paints, which from my point of view express the sensuality of, and the desire for life. I apply the paint with rags, layer upon layer, and at the end use all sorts of items from my toolbox – screwdrivers, nails, and anything that can be used to etch or apply paint. My paintings are abstract and let people experience themselves and their interests in life via the paintings. The majority of the paintings express landscapes or bits of life. The landscapes that I paint come from “other worlds”, just like the processes of deep meditation. For this reason, I usually refrain from naming my paintings. I allow the viewer the open-ended experience of naming the paintings. Due to the fact that I am very interested in the environment, and am always observing my surroundings, looking for items that can be recycled, I have started painting on “junk”: paper bags, discarded chair parts, planks that have been washed ashore at the beach, bits of stray wood…all sorts of things. For me, this is a sensory experience, unique and exciting.
