Water's Edge Abstract End of Day Landscape Painting

Lots of layers and texture on this one. I often find that after many layers I conclude a painting with nearly a paint-over in a short period of time. This one was too bright and saturated in the previous layer. I decided that I was feeling a bit aquamarine turquoise and voila, it's finished. It reminds me of many hours that I've spend at the edge of an overly-vegetated lake somewhere - end of day, nearly carried off by mosquitoes but not ready to leave the peacefulness and the view just yet. Nature is the master painter! Since this is two pieces, you can hang however you like. I have them wired to hang horizontally as in "above my sofa" picture.
