About The Artwork
Water Lilies At Sunset 5 I was always very inspired by Claude Monet and his water lilies paintings from his wonderful garden in Giverny, France. The poppy pink lilies on the gently floating water, finding their way threw the sleepy green leaves, never known exactly whats underneath. Its so peaceful to look at them while the sunset is setting slowly in and colors the blue scene in light pink. Original oil and acrylic painting on stretched canvas. The artwork is not framed. Painted with brushes, palette knife and my fingers. I only use very high standard paint for my paintings like Amsterdam or Schmincke, all non toxic and no fading. 60 cm x 80 cm x 2 cm / 23,4 x 31,5 x 0,8" Finished with varnish including UV protection. The Original painting painted from me will be send with a Certificate of Authenticity. The sides are painted too, so you can hang up the painting directly at your wall with the installed wire on the back or you can add a frame you like. The painting will be packed absolut securely. I love everything involving water, waterlilies, nature and light. My desire is to catch a moment in nature forever on canvas. So that you can take it home with you. Painting for me is like entering a secret treasure place parallel to the outside world, where I can go every time I want to. My easel waits for me and to paint gives me strength and happiness. A peaceful quiet place, where I can always find me. I put all my love, power and fun in my work and I am sure that my paintings will give all of that to its new home. I was born and raised up in Rendsburg, Schleswig-Holstein between the North Sea and the Baltic Sea, which draws my desire to water. I live now in Hamburg with my husband and our two children. I paint with acrylic on canvas with brushes, palette knives and my fingers. Ever since I remember I have supplied my family and friends with my paintings. I was trained over the years by different well known artists, while I had my dayjob in Real Estate. I was finally courageous enough to go all in the art world. I am a fulltime artist and it is an exciting and fulfilling wonderful journey. I took part in multiple solo- and group exhibitions. My paintings can be seen in publications including Vogue Magazine UK, The World Of Interiors, House and Garden UK online and many more.
