About The Artwork
I painted this canvas as part of a series when I was thinking about energy waves. I mean the energy waves detected by modern physics, carrying light, sound and heat to boil your tea in your microwave oven. I wasn't trying to paint the waves as they looked but I have produced wave-like forms as metaphors for the importance of energy in our lives. Of course waves are emblematic in other ways so the metaphor can be interpreted more widely, I hope. The painting appeared first at the Modern Art Gallery of the Republic of Belarus in Minsk.
