About The Artwork

The Wazir Khan Mosque is 17th century mosque located in the city of Lahore, capital of the Pakistani province of Punjab. The mosque was commissioned during the reign of the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan. During my memorable visit to wazir khan mosque i took some pictures. The islamic architecture and patterns really inspired me so, i decided to paint it in watercolors. This painting is a part of my old architecture series.

As a Lahore-based artist, my creative journey has been a continuous exploration of the profound beauty that resides in the convergence of diverse mediums and textures. Having embarked on my artistic path professionally after completing my diploma in fine arts from the esteemed National College of Arts, my work has found its place in prominent galleries, such as Zahur-ul-Akhlaque and Al Hamra Art Gallery. My artistic palette spans the rich spectrum of oils, watercolors, and acrylics. I revel in the joy of experimentation, constantly pushing the boundaries of each medium to uncover new dimensions and textures. This journey of discovery began during my diploma, where my works in watercolors graced the walls of prestigious galleries. Driven by a thirst for growth, my learning did not conclude with the diploma. Seeking to enhance my skills further, I immersed myself in one of my teacher's studios, focusing primarily on oils. This phase of concentrated practice added a nuanced layer to my artistic skills. Contributing to the Jack and Jill Foundation's project "Incognito," a public art initiative for children in Ireland, marked a pivotal moment in my career. My paintings, spanning oils, acrylics, and watercolors, have received international exposure through virtual exhibitions at The Holy Art Gallery in London. The core of my artistic expression is in the beauty and mystery of the natural world and historic architecture. My paintings celebrate color, form, and texture, acting as meditations on the interplay between light, shadow, and atmosphere. Whether working with oils, acrylics, or watercolors, my creative process hinges on the foundational technique of layering. This method provides depth and complexity to my artworks. My landscapes, while capturing the external world, are more than mere representations; they embody my emotional and spiritual connection to nature. My art is an ongoing dialogue with the world—a visual symphony celebrating the diversity of mediums, the wonders of nature, and the timeless allure of ancient structures. Through this dialogue, I aspire to leave an impression, offering viewers a moment's respite and a renewed appreciation for the boundless beauty surrounding us.
