We are just a number in this society. The lockdown affected us all from all points of view. Many of us have lost our jobs, our relatives and mind's peace. I did this painting after I lost my job as a cake decorator because I realised no matter how good you are at what you do or how good you are with friends, relatives, for some you are just a number, you are not indispensable. They don't know how to appreciate years of work and your efforts. I hope viewers will feel how disappointed I was when I realised that no matter how much effort, passion or affection I put into my work, or into my interpersonal relationships for them I was just one number, the next. The same happens when you want to open a bank account, when you want to enrol in university, when you want to get your residency card. I used brushes and a fork to express how much it affected me that at my job, leaders and managers, no one knew my name, everyone asked me what payroll number is, like at the supermarket, what code has a certain product .. I did a green color that represents digital technology, I used acrylic colors because I like working with acrylics more than with oil.
